AEI also manufactures Hushkits and other PMA products for the JT8D powered 737 and DC9 aircraft. In addition we hold PMA's for a number of components on the MD80 and CFM56-3 reversers. Each component is fully certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under Parts Manufacturing Authorization (PMA) guidelines.

Aviation Equipment, Inc. originally developed a Cascade Thrust Reverser Modification Kit which replaced the deflector door systems. This innovative product has throughout the years reduced the operation costs for Boeing 727 operators by eliminating a large number of moving parts and reducing weight. In addition, it has increased the interval between overhauls from approximately 2,000 hours to 8,000 hours. Over 3,000 Thrust Reversers have been modified with Aviation Equipment, Inc. Kits, with he modfication completed either in-house by the airlines, or at AEI's facilities.
